Sijo, 2019
This is music full of an easy grace and relaxed charm, of sunlight and sadness, beauty and melancholy. There is a generosity and sensitivity to Sijo; Toomey plays for the group not himself, for a rich instrumentation that can sound both intimate and orchestral. An impressive debut that promises much for the future.
